To cover the need for a reliable local power source on equipment towed by PGS’ fleet of surveying ships, Adigo developed an innovative fixed-blade propeller turbine system. The turbine was designed for reliable performance in demanding underwater conditions and at varying towing speeds. We designed a novel magnetic coupling between wet and dry sides which eliminated the need for traditional rotary seals, enhancing reliability. The system includes a control unit with LiFePO4 batteries, managing power surges and providing steady supply for instrumentation and communications. Adigo handled the complete system design, testing, and production. We now deliver and support the system for PGS and other industry customers.
